Max Verstappen admitted his Miami Grand Prix was “a bit of a struggle” after slipping from pole position to finish fourth, conceding he lacked pace compared to his rivals on a dominant day for McLaren.
The Red Bull driver initially led off the line but came under early pressure from Lando Norris on Lap 1. When Norris ran wide, it allowed both Kimi Antonelli and Oscar Piastri to get ahead.
Piastri soon overtook Antonelli and closed in on Verstappen, eventually making the move for the lead. Norris, recovering quickly, followed suit, demoting the reigning World Champion to third before he later dropped further back.
